Enjoy the peace and comfort of this beautiful, fully appointed cottage directly on Falls Lake, 15 minutes from Windsor Nova Scotia. The cottage is steps from the private beach and there are stunning waterfront views from most rooms. Located in Falls Lake Resort, this is a family owned cottage and will meet all your needs for relaxation in a quiet and serene setting. Cottage sleeps 8 and is modern with comfortable furniture. All you need are your personal items, clothing, and food for an amazing stay.
The home is one level and offers 3 bedrooms and is ideally outfitted for two families of four. The great room is open concept and there are spectacular views of the private beach and lake. The cozy living room and kitchen have modern comfortable furniture and a pellet stove for those cooler days. The Master bedroom has a queen size bed with a master bath attached (a walk in shower). The second bedroom has a queen size bed. The third bedroom is designed to sleep 4, with bunk beds including one double and two twin beds. The main bath has a bath/shower combo. All bedrooms have closets with shelving for you to settle in for your stay. There is a flat screen tv, Wifi and Roku. Onsite laundry facilities make clean up easy, especially for longer stays. There is a local convenience store that sells most items should you forget something, 3 minutes from the cottage with everything from snacks to basic vegetables and alcoholic beverages.
During the spring and summer you can enjoy swimming at the private beach, the Resorts main beach, boating off the private dock, exploring the lake by foot or boat and relaxing in the sun. We have two single kayaks and a canoe, with floatation devices available in several sizes, all for use by our guests. The main resort beach is located within minutes (short walking distance). If you have a boat you want to bring with you, the Falls Lake boat launch within the resort is located between 130 and 138 Loon Drive. Ontree Park offers fun for all ages and is located 20 minutes from Falls Lake. Ontree Park provides high rope courses, zip line and other physical activities among the trees of Martock. In the Winter months, Ski Martock is 20 minutes for your winter skiing enjoyment. During Fall and Winter, the local area offers opportunities for snowshoeing, hiking, cross country skiing, skating and horseback riding.
Falls Lake (Cottage Country) is 60 minutes from Halifax Stanfield International Airport and approximately 60 minutes from Halifax. It is 25 minutes from the town of Windsor in the Annapolis Valley offering grocery stores, hospital, museums, an Irish pub, restaurants. Windsor has many attractions including go-karts, water slides, Fort Edward Historic Site, Hockey Heritage Museum and Haliburton House Museum. The Annapolis Valley is famous for it's high tides and there are attractions including vineyards, hiking at Cape Split, or exploring historic Grand Pre. Towards the Atlantic Ocean, Falls Lake is 40 minutes to the historic towns of Chester, Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. There are extensive opportunities for day trips, whether you enjoy museums, vineyards, site seeing, shopping, or beach trips.
