The Property
Located with views of the Muskoka River along the peaceful Matthiasville Road, Cedar Shores Lodge offers a true Muskoka escape without the crowds. Set on roughly two sprawling acres of maintained lawn, there's room to spread out, play, and unwind — all with the river as your backdrop.
The waterfront is the heart of this property. A sandy, gradual entry makes it ideal for wading in and cooling off, while the river deepens nicely for a proper swim. Bring a picnic down to the water's edge, fire up the supplied fire bowl (subject to local fire restrictions), and settle in as the river drifts by. An amount of firewood is provided — if you need more, you're welcome to gather appropriately sized deadfall from the surrounding bush.
The House
Step inside and you'll find a home built for gathering. The extra-large kitchen anchors the main floor, well-equipped with cookware, crockery, a gas stove, and electric oven — everything you need to cook for a full house.
